About BellyUp! America
More websites. More places for your restaurant to be found.
Each BellyUp! city and each topic gets its own website. That gives Google and AI more places to find your restaurant, and gives hungry people more ways to land on it.
Why a traveling SEO Specialist built BellyUp!
Before anyone called it remote work, I was doing it.
Back then, if you worked from a laptop, people assumed you were unemployed.
I was a freelance SEO Specialist, working for my own clients from wherever I happened to be.
And wherever I was, I worked from bars, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Those places were my office. They were also where every town felt most like itself.
I always wished there was one place to put all of it together.
There wasn't. My posts were scattered across social media, and none of it added up to anything.
So I tried building that place myself. Years ago I built networks a lot like this one on Joomla.
But keeping that many sites running was more than one person could keep up with.
BellyUp! is that same idea, rebuilt so it can grow without breaking.
Who builds BellyUp!? A human and an AI, working together.
Krisada Eaton
Krisada has spent more than 20 years helping websites get found in search. He started BellyUp! after years of working from bars, restaurants, and coffee shops in whatever town he landed in.
Krisada picks the next city, sets the rules for what counts as verified, and decides what goes live.

Why does BellyUp! have 121 websites?
Because more websites mean more places to be found.
Google reads each website on its own. So do AI tools.
One restaurant on one big site gets one chance to be understood.
One restaurant on several focused sites gets several.
Every city has one home and seven topic sites
- 1 Bars Cocktails, craft beer, and the specials that are not on the bar menu.
- 2 BBQ Smokehouses and pitmasters worth crossing town for.
- 3 Family Kids can be kids. Grown-ups get to enjoy themselves too.
- 4 Nightlife Dancing, live music, and what stays open late.
- 5 Over 50 Good spots for an easy evening, minus the nightclubs.
- 6 Vegan Plant-based menus and vegan-friendly kitchens.
- 7 Sports & Game Day Pro and college games, and bars with sports on TV.
Picture a barbecue place with a big patio, a kids' menu, and every game on TV.
It can show up on its city home, on the BBQ site, on the Family site, and on Sports & Game Day.
That is four doors into the same kitchen.
A restaurant only appears on a topic site when its own pages back that topic up.
Three things happen when each topic gets its own website
-
1More doorsEach website has its own address, its own sitemap, and its own listing in Google. Someone searching for a family dinner can land on the Family site. Someone searching for game day can land on Sports & Game Day. Same restaurant. Different door.
-
2A clear jobA website about one thing is easy to understand. Google and AI can tell what it is for, so its pages are easier to match with the right question.
-
3A way to keep walkingEvery site links to its city home and to the others. A visitor who lands on one can walk through to the rest.
Nobody can promise a ranking or an AI recommendation. More doors just means better odds.
Why doesn't everyone build this many websites?
Because keeping them running is a nightmare.
Every website needs updates, fixes, and checking.
Multiply that by 121 and a normal team drowns.
I know, because I tried it years ago on Joomla. The upkeep won.
We figured out how to make it light. Three things do the work.
-
1One build for every cityEach city runs the same build. When something needs fixing, we fix it once and every city gets the fix.
-
2Every restaurant entered onceThe topic sites read the same files. A new place or a corrected hour shows up everywhere it belongs.
-
3A check every nightEach night, a checker visits every page on every site and flags anything that broke.
AI does the heavy lifting on research and sorting. We check the work before it goes live.
That is how three cities went live in a single day. And it is why we can keep adding more.
Three ways to be part of BellyUp!
- 1 Restaurants and local places See what people can find about you now, and where more doors could open.
- 2 City Producers Build the local relationships. We bring the research, publishing, and coaching.
- 3 Creators Bring your stories, photos, and videos. They get a local home, and your name travels with them.
I spent years wishing there was one place for all of it. So we are building it, one city at a time.
